GAMEFACE and F.C. Revolution - in partnership with Everton FC of the English Premier League would like to present the 2008 Spring Field Player Training Academy.

If you are looking to become a better youth soccer player,   The Everton Way  is the program for you. Participants in this Spring Academy Program will  have exclusive training that utilizes the program and methods of one of the world’s leading organizations for player development, Everton Football Club Youth Academy. The sessions will be intense and fun!  Become the best possible soccer player and join us this spring! This program is designed for boys and girls ages U6 - U10.

The Spring Academy is open to all players, regardless of  club affiliation.  Train with the best,  and make this your exclusive training program for the 2008 spring season.

Groups will be created based on age and talent.

Training emphasis will target individual ball skills, passing, and shooting skills. Some sessions will incorporate speed and agility training. We will be focusing on four main areas of player development:  physical, psychological, technical and tactical components.

Spring Academy Mission Statement
The purpose of the Spring Academy is to stimulate player development by creating a challenging soccer environment. The Spring Academy staff will utilize the systematic, age-appropriate methods of the Everton Football Club. This highly successful program will motivate players to progress to their fullest potential as a player. The Academy experience will generate a new level of enthusiasm and passion for the world’s most popular sport.

The Academy
The Academy is designed and patterned after the world-renowned Everton Academy, which is part of Everton Football Club of the English Premier League.

Everton will be associated with the Spring Academy and will assist our staff in the development of an Academy curriculum, as well as provide their expertise and technical advice.

“The Everton Way” will provide many of the exercises utilized by the Academy staff.  “Evertonway.com” is an on-line program based on the methods used by the Everton Academy coaches.  The web site provides hundreds of video clips to reveal practices, drills and the entire philosophy used by Everton’s Academy coaches.

The Everton Academy has been enormously successful in producing top talent to go on and star in the English Premier League.  Our staff expects to use these same methods in our Academy program to help develop soccer players in Eastern Pennsylvania and improve the quality of the game.

"This is an exciting time, not only for FC Revolution,  but also for Everton Football Club,” said Mr.Tony "Tosh" Farrell.   “This opportunity allows us to put Everton Football Club's proven coaching philosophy - The Everton Way - into place over a sustained period."

"We believe this will help raise the standard of soccer in the Eastern Pennsylvania area and beyond, helping the Revs become one of the leading clubs in player development. The partnership is sure to help maximize player potential and credit must be given to the Revolution for taking the steps to evolve."

The Revolution and Everton Football Club believe this partnership is very unique and one of very few in the country. They hope to add to this agreement by having player exchanges between the players who participate in the Rev's Spring Academy, as well as possible exchanges to the Everton Academy in Liverpool. Both boys and girls will be eligible for the Spring Academy.

The program consists of 8 training sessions.  Players will be divided into appropriate age groups.  Players are required to bring their own ball.
