Mike Moyer has been a steady influence to the regional soccer scene for over 25 years. Moyer has coached players, and instructed coaches at every level, including two United States Olympic Festivals. At the festival, Moyer served as assistant coach of the East Men's team, to former MLS and Real Salt Lake Head Coach John Ellinger. He taught physical education for 16 years, and coached high school boys' soccer for 17 years, where he amassed a 305-103-15 record. He also coached the Wilson High School Girls for three seasons where he led the Bulldogs to 77-5-1 record, and was recently inducted into the Berks County High School Girls' Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Overall, Moyer's teams have recorded nine Berks County championships, four PIAA District III AAA championships and three PIAA State Final appearances, winning the title in 1992.
Moyer, who was awarded the USSF "A" license in 1987, is a sought after clinician, and has been on staff at some of the top clinics and camps in the nation. He has been directing soccer camps since 1983, and will be the lead instructor and camp director for the 2008 FC Revolution Summer Soccer Camps. He has been an EPYSA ODP head coach, and has instructed numerous coaching schools, including the United States Soccer Federation National Coaching Schools, where he was an evaluator for USSF "B" coaching license candidates. Moyer coached the FC Delco U-19 Boys' team to a state cup championship in 1995.
Moyer coached professionally in the USL for two franchises. He was the assistant coach for the Philadelphia Freedom and was the head coach for the Reading Rage professional team, where in his second season, guided the Rage to the only divisional championship in its professional team history.
Moyer's network to the college game is unmatched. His relationship with the top college programs and coaches around the nation will be extremely beneficial to the FC REVS players and parents. He has successfully recommended and guided hundreds of players to successful college programs.
Mike lives in Wyomissing and is married to Jen Moyer and has 3 children: Keegan - 21, Mia - 9, and Max - 7.
